URBANICS worked with Nestlé EAR company on capacity development of the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs departments at the Nestlé Zimbabwe and Kenya Offices.  The Kenya office is the regional Headquarter of the Nestlé EAR.  Work included revamping internal and external communications as well as strategizing and enhancing focus through developing communications plans for the sustainable community development (CSV) projects of Nestlé in the region.  This was the first phase of the project and will be carried out in the rest of the EAR countries as well.

Nestlé Equatorial African Region (EAR) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nestlé S.A. in Vevey, Switzerland — the world’s largest nutrition, health and wellness company — with sales of almost CHF 83.7 billion in 2011. Nestlé EAR was set up in September 2008 and oversees the Nestlé operations in 21 countries: Kenya, Angola, Burundi, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Malawi, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
