As part of their CSR work, Challenger Limited in Libya is working on promoting Green Mountain (Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar) in Libya as a tourism destination, through helping different NGOs to realize the tourism potential and work towards achieving sustainable tourism. The task is focusing on; (i) providing initial guiding principals towards planning for tourism in the region, and (ii) restructuring and capacity development of the local NGOs (al-Hela’) to be able to utilize their 35 years of experience to support sustainable tourism as a means for income generation for local communities revenues.

The assignment was part of a larger assignment that has an eco-lodge component in coordination with Arch. Nashwa Ibrahim.
